| In some cases, this is used as a form of security. Players have been known to put Plats on the market at high prices, that no one will buy them at - this is intended, for it keeps them safe from being stolen from people with Ice Demons. In the case of other stones, it can be a back up fund, keeping them out of sight for use at a later date. It's a commonly used tactic that has been around for years. And as Dalia stated, the majority of the armour, weapons, etc in the shop are from deleted players, so those can't be changed. As for existing people putting armour and weapons on the market at insane prices, though, it begins to edge on the ridiculous as you say. Perhaps people want to save them from being accidentally "dropped" and keep them there for safekeeping. But one can assume that if you're not already wearing them, you're probably wearing something better anyway, so it wouldn't be much of a loss.  Some just can't think straight, I suppose. |
